Who Are We?

We are a small team of experienced Actuarial Instructors with over a decade worth of experience in Actuarial Science coaching. Some of us entered this field a while ago when few people knew a whole lot about the Actuarial Sciences. We have since then, helped a number of students through multiple actuarial modules. Our students range from ones who are fresh out of school to experienced professionals looking to have some study support on the weekends. We provide coaching for all Core Technical modules. Please refer to our Faculty page to get to know more about your tutors for each module.

About Sankhyiki

Over the course of our experience with students, we have learnt that the most effective way to help a student clear the Core Technical Series, is to ensure maximum practice and plenty of time for revision.

Akshay sir is a superb mentor, I have taken actuarial coaching from other teachers also, but by far his teachings have been most helpful. From concepts to methodology to techniques he is exceptionally well. The examples he gives are so unique that it could help you understand complex things with so much ease. I would highly recommend him.

The best Actuarial professor today, he has in-depth knowledge of the subjects and guides to help you become a champion. The clarity of concepts is his best quality and the second best is the way he uses his skills to impart better understanding to his students. Glad to be called his student!

Akshay Chauhan is a great teacher mentor and guide. He has great work ethics and believes on delivering quality and makes no compromise to it. When dealing with statistical concepts, it is important not to cramp but understand the concepts and flow of things which he emphasises on unlike other teachers of this industry. Actuaries is not about clearing exams but understanding the concepts so that the application of it is easier in the real world. He does not only helps you be a good student but a great professional with better understanding of the subject.

Nothing could have been better than having you as the mentor for CT 6. No wonder, the topper turned out to be your student. Akshay Sir, you excel at your work. No amount of thanks or appreciation is enough for you. Been stuck with this subject for a long time but you showed the way to success. My first paper from India! Thank you so very much. You're just the best!

Veronica Srivastava (Associate Analyst - McKinsey)

I studied CT2, CT3, CT4 and CT6 at SANKHYIKI and cleared all the exams in a single attempt due the smart and focused teaching methods of the faculty and the flexibility they offer in terms of time and back-up classes. I started doing actuarial exams while employed full time and that meant a very tight schedule for me. The teachers were very understanding and offered their full support in helping me prepare for my exams. I am currently doing multiple exams only because I believe I will get the help and guidance I need here. The staffs aside from the teachers are equally wonderful. They made timetabling and planning effortless; and were also very prompt with any questions I had about exams, etc! Best place to be coached for actuarial exams ever!

I had taken the newly launched DTH classes of CT4 and the experience was the same as a live class. The quality of the video was very good. The launch of DTH classes is a great step towards making studying at home easier especially for working students.

My personal experience with Akshay Sir has been really good. He not only displays enthusiasm for this subject and a desire to share it with his students, but also knows how to modify his teaching strategies as per an individual's understanding, subject matter and learning environment. And this is what propels you. Thank you for your support!
